Just because its weekend, never look sloppy. You will never know who you might run into. I kept in mind this advise and thought not to expeience that situation anymore. I remember before, I went out early to buy at the open market. Since its a market place I just wear my flipflops a big tshirt with jeans and tied my unwashed hair. I met my former classmate and asked me how many children I have. Hello! I’m still on my first year of marriage that time. So from that they on I learned to look to be casual, comfy and fashion wise. Not that wearing too hard make ups or hair styles. Just attempt to look a little bit stylish, experiment and use basic makeups like concealer, eyeliner and lipgloss. Remember, Get rid of that “it’s weekend I dont care” attitude.

Good Lunch on Weekends

nullSometimes, we love to stay at home during weekends. To have a lot of fun, we cook sumptuous lunch and a good nap after the lunch is a refreshing thing to do. Here are some tips I got from the net which I think very useful to all of us specially for the homemakers and mothers out there.

1. Gather food items with low calories and cholesterol. These can include fruits, bread, cheese, vegetarian patties, and microwavable soups. Try cutting low on sodium too.

2. Keep it light. Lunch should be a relatively lighter meal. Make a chicken bake, if possible, for they are easy to make and relatively healthy.

3. Start off with a soup to fill you up. Try corn or chicken noodle soup. To go the extra mile, garnish it with sour cream and grated cheese. Not only is warm soup refreshing, but also a great filler. Eating it with light bread will help. If it is a hot summer day, try a cold cucumber soup or chilled tomato soup.
4. For the main course, it really matters how much you are accustomed to eating. A light eater could be content with two vegetarian patty sandwiches and small pieces of watermelon. Someone who likes to eat more could eat the sandwiches, fruit, a granola or yogurt bar, and cheese-its.

5. Since extra calories can come from refreshments, try to drink water. However, if you are on an active schedule, try out coke, pepsi or gatorade.

6. Save the ice-cream for dinner. A large lunch can make you fall asleep, leaving calories piling up. If you must absolutely have a dessert, try Italian Ice, a popsicle or a simple cookie or mint.

7. Alternately, drink a cup of herbal tea. It is light but soothing and helps you relax. Refrain from coffee.
